Description
Many know people like Agar and Missy Hagan, hard working salt of the earth kind of people. They live on one of the outer hillsides of Linsky, a small town of over a hundred, maybe close to two hundred, actually perhaps several hundred when you count everyone sprinkled through out the many nearby hillsides. Its difficult to say as there isn't a "Population of Linsky ..." sign on either end of Linsky, nobody keeps track anyway. Agar and Missy Hagan are fourth generation Hagan's, they live in the Hagan home, part animal farm, chickens and a few hogs when times are good. The Hagan home has been remodeled and added on to more times than anyone wants to remember, its a good, stable and loving home. They have two boys, the oldest is Webb, the youngest by only 11 months is Webb's brother Dag. Webb and Dag are really no longer boys, there young men now, very popular with most, not with some. Both good looking with the ability to charm almost anything from anyone, especially the women.
Linsky has no more than maybe 15 buildings in downtown proper, only one solitary stop sign that everyone ignores, even Bags Olfsen, Linsky's mayor and sheriff. There's the hardware store, the feed store, small pharmacy, Mabel's diner, Lester's bar, post office, city hall, apparel store, the grange and community center, a church, and Hagan's garage.
Agar is the mechanic here in Linsky and pretty much everyone within 100 miles comes to Agar's garage, or now and then Agar will go to them, or send his boys out to take care of it. Agar has taught Webb and Dag everything he knows about mechanics and fixing almost anything. They are both very good with everything mechanical, they know it all, Dag holds it over Webb when it comes to fixing cars or anything else.
Life in Linsky has all kinds of flavors, each day is the same but different. Good people, regular folks, old cantankerous harmless buffaloes, and the bad apples that just seem to always have some kind of daily issues. We all do right? From time to time we all have days when walking is a challenge, we celebrate when the toilet flushes, or maybe the dog barfed in one of your boots, anything can happen - Just ask Mrs. Murphy.
